The Charilam H.S. School was established in the year 1946. The school conducted into two shift (morning shift- Primary section from lass I to V, secondary shift- noon section from class VI to XII). To meet up the local demand the school was upgraded to upper primary in the year 1946, high school in the year 1953 &higher secondary in the year 1967 respectively. The school is situated in the heart of Charilam sub-division. People from various location purpose their education. At present the student strength of the school is 889. The school maintains a record of brilliant Board Result each year and it also boats of excellent performance in each fields by the students of Science, Arts and Culture and also Sports.
Besides Education the school also stresses on Co-curricular activities. As the proverb says, ‘health is wealth’. Our aim in promoting Games &Sports became a part &parcel at every initial of Co-curricular. Likewise, very much successful in the field of Basket Ball. The students participated in Delhi & Hydrabad Prasenjit Majumder, Arup Das participated in the year 2016-2017.
